Registration periods

Please inform yourself about the applicable registration periods well in advance before the start of the new semester.

Registration and deregistration from courses and examinations is processes via the university-wide registration system u:space. Please note that you have to select the correct degree programme code and the respective module (according to the curriculum) during the registration process. Students who register with an incorrect degree programme code will be deregistered. There is no automatic re-registration. If your registration is faulty, you may register for remaining course places in the second registration period.

Registration for Master courses is only possible for students who have a valid admission to a Master’s degree programme! Bachelor’s students do not get course places in Master courses.

Free places after registration phases only with waiting list status!

Please contact the course instructors by e-mail before the 1st deadline to find out whether you can still be accepted into the course. Teachers can only accept you if you have the status "on waiting list" and have therefore registered regularly during the previous registration phases. Without regular registration during the registration phases, you can no longer be admitted to courses.

Calculation waiting list places

In the course of the late registration phase, all waiting list places will be recalculated! We therefore recommend all students who did not receive a fixed place during the main registration phase to register again during the late registration phase. Ideally for a course that still has free places, but if necessary also for a "full" course in order to obtain a place on the waiting list. The waiting list places are only fixed after the end of the late registration phase!
